The Flower Bouquet

This cake was made for a very special fifty year old, my mother-in-law. I was aiming for 50 flowers on top of this bouquet, but needed quite a few more. The fondant flowers were set on a buttercream covered Rice Krispie dome. The Rice Krispie top was then placed on four stacked 6-inch vanilla cake rounds with vanilla buttercream icing in between layers. This cake would work wonderfully for birthdays or showers. I also can’t take complete credit for the design. I saw a similar design on cakecentral.com.
